Batik is a resist dye technique famous in West Bengal. Wax is the main ingredient used For this form of textile art. Hence I spent my days in Shantiniketan learning its techniques. It wasn’t easy at the beginning, but then it turned out to be fun, combining colors keeping in mind the techniques and the dye used.

The sky is the limit when it comes to batik. Be it the intense crack effect or the smooth effect of the hand batik have the beauty of imperfection. Each brush stroke in hand batik is a witness to the dexterity of the artists.
